Each channel employs an industry-rugged, isolated-output regulator that self-protects from extreme current and temperature situations.
The main input source can fall between 12 and 15 volts, and be either “tip hot” or “barrel hot”. If the connector fits, then the polarity of the DC connector doesn't matter. It's all about design.
Each channel can deliver up to 200 mA with the appropriate source input.
Channels 1 through 8 are fixed at 9 volts; channels 9 and 10 are variable from 4 volts to 9 volts for the odd pedal or complete "brown out". The controls are recessed to avoid random changes.
Channels 9 and 10 also have an integrated voltmeter so there is never any ambiguity as to the voltage setting. In other words, a separate voltmeter is not required.
Channels 1 and 10 incorporate a polarity reversal switch that allows switching from the typical "tip hot” to "barrel hot" for extra flexibility. An LED will change color indicating the polarity of the channel. No more special cables to worry about!
Another feature is a dedicated 5 volt, 200 mA USB-A utility output for operating USB-oriented devices.
Finally, all channels are monitored for proper operation. If a fault condition occurs on any channel, an LED will illuminate and the voltage will go to zero. The channel will automatically reset when the fault condition is removed.
